Hi everyone! Ok, I made my first Chicken Noodle Soup today and it was WONDERFULL! We had a bunch of old Chicken Thighs in the freezer from a massive chicken smoking about a year ago. About half of them were done with Vargr's KC Masterpiece Rub and the other half with Vargr's Thai Spice Mop. ShadowCat-X, my beloved, was worried that the remaining Chicken thighs were likely to have frostbite from the freezer.. and so was born the plans for Chicken Noodle Soup on a Crock Pot. It turned out to be a VERY easy recepie. I made it in my 5 Quart Crock Pot. Ingredients: 1.5lbs KC Masterpiece rubbed smoked chicken thighs, bone in. 1.5lbs Thai Spice Mopped smoked chicken thighs, bone in. 2 teaspoons salt. 3 teaspoons Better than Bouillon Chicken Base. 12oz Wide Egg Noodles 32oz Baby Carrots, peeled 1 large onion 13 cups of water (or enough to cover ingredients in your Crock Pot.) Preperation: 1. Put baby carrots in the bottom of the crock pot. 2. Put a large onion, coarse chopped, on top of baby Carrots. 3. Put the Chicken Thighs on top. 4. Add 13 cups of water (or enough to cover ingredients or to fill pot) 5. Add 3 teaspoons of Better than Bouillon Chicken Base. 6. Add 2 teaspoons salt. 7. Cook for 5 hours, then remove chicken.. debone chicken, and stir the chicken meat back into the soup. 8. Cook for 1 more hour, then add wide egg Noodles. 9. Cook for 1 more hour and then serve, soup is done.
